March Madness

The school year starts in March in South Korea, so I’ve spent the last week decorating my classroom and preparing lesson plans. Like most hagwons, my school has a very strict curriculum that teachers are required to follow, which means there has been a lot more decorating than curriculum-preparing. Decorating is not my thing. I don’t have an eye for it, nor do I enjoy tedious, repetitive actions. (A side note- it is possible to cut yourself under your nail with a laminated piece of paper. It’s been a long week.)

Still, I think my classroom turned out ok:

this was not a solo effort at all, much love to the school's art teacher for her help

There are some familiar faces for 2015:

And some new faces as well:

Celina doesn't speak any English or really any language at all yet because she's 3. But she's so cuuuuteee

my new elementary students have a lot of energy. These boys just graduated from kindergarten a week ago- no lag time, get back to work boys

In conclusion- wish me luck!
